Hail damage in Round Rock: what to check before you call your insurance.
Round Rock sits squarely in the Central Texas hail belt. Most spring storms that cross Williamson County leave at least a few neighborhoods with roof damage. If your street just got hit, here is how the process really works and what to do first.
Look before you file
Hail damage is not always visible from the ground.
Check for dented gutters, downspouts and air conditioner fins, granules piled at the bottom of downspouts, and splatter marks on fences or patio furniture. Those are the same signs an adjuster looks for.
What you usually cannot see from the driveway is the roof itself. That is why a free inspection comes before a claim, not after.
Get the roof inspected first
Document first, then decide.
A Roof Royale inspection records what is there with photos and a written summary. If the damage is cosmetic or limited to a few shingles, we will tell you, and a repair is the right answer. Filing a claim for a repair-sized problem is not worth it.
If the damage is widespread, you will have the documentation you need to file with confidence.
How an insurance roof claim works
The adjuster decides. We make sure nothing gets missed.
Once you file, your insurer sends an adjuster. We meet the adjuster on the roof so every slope and every hit gets seen.
The adjuster decides whether the roof can be repaired or is a total loss. If it is totaled, insurance pays to replace the roof, and your only cost is your deductible. There is no separate bill for the roof itself.
About the deductible
You pay it. Nobody legally waives it.
Since 2019, Texas law has required homeowners to pay their insurance deductible on roof claims. A contractor who offers to waive it, absorb it or cover it is breaking the law and putting your claim at risk. We will not do that, and you should walk away from anyone who offers.

What you get
A full replacement, properly installed and warrantied.
Roof Royale installs GAF Timberline HDZ as a GAF Certified Plus contractor, which means the manufacturer warranty that comes with that certification. The Urbano roof above is a recent example. You can see it on our Round Rock roofing page.
